In 1973, William E. Colby, the son of a Jesuit missionary (Elbridge Colby), whose main experience in the CIA had been in paramilitary and political activities, became first the comptroller, then Director, of Central Intelligence. It was the beginning of a revolution. As he explains in his autobiography, he rejected the complicated view of KGB strategic deception.

Interesting? Link (here) to the full story.

Blogger Note: I can not find any information that corroborates that Elbridge Colby was at one time a Jesuit.
