His book La venida del Mesías en gloria y majestad, observaciones de Juan Josafat Ben-Ezra was published in Spain in 1811. It was banned by the Catholic Church on January 15, 1819. An English translation was published in 1827 by Edward Irving under the title of The Coming of the Messiah. It was influential in the development of 19th century beliefs in an imminent Millennium, for example among the Millerites.
