It is the fundamentals of the teachings of the Church that they cannot get a handle on...

Didn't this blog complain that liberal Catholics were posting pictures of naked people in their stories? And yet you are presenting fully naked people who have no connection to the story you linked to!

Poor Joe Fromm. Are you even trying to pretend anymore that this site is not just a place for you to attack people you don't like?

I posted the picture because it is of normal Hindu priests participating in a normal Hindu prayer practice. Hinduism is a pagan religion and I want the readers to understand that fact. Hinduism is the same system that enforces the caste system and desires a wife to be burned alive after her husbands death, a practice that was legally ended under British rule.

I would look to St. Ignatius' meditation on the Two Standards for further discernment on this issue.

As I am wont to say: Man up Mister. Sign your name.

A simple question: How is it that you cannot allow yourself to write perfectly appropriate words like sex and vagina but can publish a photo of exposed penises?

Never forget to respect the other religions, if you claim yourself a Christian. Hinduism is also one of the greater spiritual culture in the world. When you say something, at first you must study!Hinduism is the religion of a great and high spirituality, wich has a lot to teach to the christians. Study about Mahavira, Shankara, Buddha, Gandhi and in the last century Ramana Maharishi and Ananda Mayi Ma and then talk. It is no more the religion of the casts than the christians ar the religion of the inquisition and of the crusades. The naga sadhus of the picture aro not raepresentative of hinduism but the talk about their nudity is incredibly stupid: they are naked bekause they have abandoned sexuality and all possessions for ever...I think this "pagans" are more near the teaching of Christ than many so called christians. Surely Christ is something different from other religions, he is God but we cannot respect God if we have not respect for our brothers of other religions, especially if they come from one of the deepest spiritual culture from the planet...

I believe Humans have reached a misleading stage where a lot of people hide behind the words "Respect Other's Beliefs or Religion"
while this is nice and sensitive but we have to use our common sense.
if someone's beliefs are so out of proportions should we respect them too? if those beliefs are proven unsanitary or unethical or simply not fair should we tolerate them too?
My answer is simply: No we do not have to. We are supposedly intelligent beings and in general most societies can differentiate right from wrong. So Unless nakedness is accepted and tolerated in your kids room, then your answer is No, I do not respect nor tolerate such beliefs.
if people put dirt and feces on their bodies as a sacred ritual should i respect it? No i do not, sorry I have a common sense and a thinking brain and mine says it is unsanitary and unaccepted no matter what the reason was, there are medical and psychological outcomes too.
If you respect this then where does it stop? if a huge group of naked men walking in the street all covered in mud and ash,, if this does not look wrong,,, what does?????
