Cristo Rey Baltimore |
Upgrades made during a $7.4 million renovation were on display Tuesday night at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, in Fells Point, where students have a new library, suites for college counseling sessions, updated classrooms and high-tech laboratory space.
The school, a coed college-prep academy for low-income Baltimore students sponsored by the Maryland Jesuits, has an enrollment of 320; families pay tuition of $550 to $2,500, based on income.
The upgrades were paid for by private donations, including a $1.2 million gift from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation and $500,000 each from Mary Catherine Bunting and the Charles T. Bauer Foundation.
