The Polish Jesuit

"The Prophets" and Mt. Ampersand
Each year, by the end of the first week, cabins are encouraged to find a name for their group. This should be a name that embodies their character as a cabin, and gives them a vision to live up to. Our first cabin name this year was adopted by Cabin 5. They will from here on be known as "The Prophets".The Prophets embarked on their first hike of the summer yesterday. And it was appropriate that they chose to hike Mt. Ampersand. As we were at camp celebrating the fact that our Declaration of Independence was signed in the year 1776, the Prophets were hiking a mountain with an ascent of 1776 feet. And they conquered every single one of them. Despite the mud and some steep climbs, they made it to the top and got to enjoy the beautiful view. Congrats to cabin 5!
