From reading that, it's hard to believe the number of Jesuits has been reduced by two-thirds since 1965. They're so open-minded! Why wouldn't a young man feel compelled to join them and give his life to the Church so he can spend his time learning all about Zen Buddhism and the Aristotelian influences on Islam.

Honestly, given the spiritual poverty suffered by Americans, and the west in general, it is hard to fathom how the Jesuits can assign their brightest minds to these kinds of frivolous activities.

I don't think St. Ignatius of Loyola would be pleased at all.
