Jesuit, Catholic Fairfield University will host the Commitment to Justice Conference later this week from June 18 to 21. A featured keynote speaker at the conference is Ms. British Robinson, who is Director of Public Private Partnerships in the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator. The mission of this office is to lead the implementation of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). “reached an estimated 58.3 million people through community outreach programs to prevent sexual transmission using the ABC approach.”Additionally, the “U.S. Government has supplied more than 2.2 billion condoms worldwide from 2004 to 2008.” PEPFAR works with companies in Guyana to create HIV/AIDS policies.
