Former Jesuit Grew Up On Flathead Reservation

Victor Charlo, a citizen of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Montana, grew up on the Flathead Reservation. He is the great-great grandson of Chief Charlot of the Bitterroot Salish. He spent seven years in a seminary where he studied to be a Jesuit priest before he took up the banner for Native causes. Link (here)

Ever read (I think the title is) "Letters from a Mountain Priest" by Fr. Rapagliosi, SJ? You might enjoy it. He was a missionary in Montana in the late 1800's.
