Fr. Daniel Berrigan, SJ, who's lived in the same Jesuit community for 30 years, has authored more than 50 books of prose and poetry. His public role began in the early 1950s with the civil rights movement, and grew in the peace movement during the Vietnam War. Fr. Berrigan helped launch the international anti-nuclear Plowshares movement in the 1980s, has served numerous prison sentences, and remains consistently grounded in the Jesuits' spiritual tradition. His writings reveal his ability to harness biblical figures like the prophets to offer critical and insightful perspectives on current events. Link (here)
Christian Peace Witness for Iraq is an ecumenical, ad hoc group of Partners who are called and committed to raising a Christian voice for peace. Our staff is volunteer (although often staff of Partner peace organizations) and our budget is based on donations. We witness to the power of God's Spirit in bringing us together and enabling this work. Link (here)
