Just like being a Marine. That must be why the percentage of Catholics in the Corps is around 30%, about 7% higher than the national average. I think it is higher but these are the figures I could find. In my infantry days there were very few non-Catholics. The platoon leader was an Italian Catholic. Every one used to come around when the padre was coming.
