Great Post, and God Bless him (and you)!
A nice montage. I wonder, though, about this:
>> Thank you President George Bush for the charity you have shown others through out the world<<
How can we recover the notion of charity as **private** and **voluntary**? Why do we allow politicians to use money taken by force from others (taxes), to spread it around, and to call it charity? Clearly it is not.
The recovery of true, private charity will be a challenge for the next generation of Catholics, as our government becomes even more anti-Catholic and, in like fashion, more avaricious to steal our hard-earned wages.
Dear Chris,
Charity comes in many forms and there most certainly is a difference between tithing and taxation. America is the most generous country in the world in governmental foreign aid and individual citizen contributions overseas. Dropping trade barriers is another form of charity but I just couldn't put all the things I wanted to. Maybe we should start a list of the good things that George Bush has done.
Thanks for you comments and participation.

To those that don't support George W. Bush. I would have a few words of wisdom.KEEP IT TO YOURSELVES.I'm personally SICK of hearing people say what a horrible president he was when he really wasn't. When he found out to twin towers were attacked he was sitting in a classroom full of children yet he sat there a did not panic. He dealt with it his head, He protsted within his own mind what to do. Yes through all that was happening he stayed calm, Cool, and collected..to me that is a sign of strength from within.Today in class(I'm only in 8th grade)my teacher started talking about George Bush being our WORST president, i tried staying calm an waited for her to stop, let her cool down..She didn't. So i finally couldn't take it. I stood up for the man i believe to be our strongest president yet.
God Bless George Bush.

Sienna,
Thank you for your contribution to this blog! Your comments are valuable and I agree with them. Keep a look out for George Bush's brother, Jeb Bush to be a contender in 2012.

Thank you for posting this, and thank you Sienna for your comments. As a mother and a citizen, I am proud to see your generation appreciate the fine President who served during your childhood.
Thank you for posting this.
What a disappointing article. I thought Jesuits were progressive and open-minded. You certainly DO NOT represent all Catholics. It is a total mystery to me why anyone would ever call Bush pro-life....he loves the death penalty. As governor of Texas, he executed more people than any other governor in its history. How many Iraqi civilians, as well as our own soldiers, are dead because of him? He is a fr cry from pro-life, and in fact, please people, there is no such thing as a truly pro-life politician. Get over it! Pick and choose your causes just like everyone else!
