On one hand it is recognized that our community has norms of conduct and those norms of conduct are not God’s norms of conduct. We currently live in a world where private values are considered more important than public values and the intent of the law.

At the same time, Jesuits are expected to be role models to the Catholic community – and not role models to the wealthy who seek ways to avoid community values.
