I Am Quite Happy To Wear The Roman Collar Every Sunday To The Parish.

(however)......... I am usually very busy when I travel, with lots to read and write, and would be unhappy to get drawn into conversations by people waiting for planes, etc.
Link (here) to read the full post Fr. Francis Xavier Clooney, S.J.

Matthew 5:13-16:

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? ... You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid... Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Being busy is certainly not an excuse for hiding a priestly identity. Jesuits and priests are constantly on the line of duty.
These days, the roman collar or the cassock do not bring so much praise, but more often bad words or agressive behavior because of our weaknesses and sins. It is a good way to imitate the Master.

Fr. Clooney has a point--priest are pretty busy these days and he's an academic with commitments to his students and field of knowledge.
