EWTN Jesuit

Gonzaga president Father Robert Spitzer, S.J. commented on the student newspaper’s rejection of the We Know Better Now” insert. “I share with many people around the world a concern for the unborn, and for the sanctity of human life. Gonzaga University has always supported the pro-life movement,”
Father Spitzer said in a Thursday statement. He explained that the advertisement was rejected “not from any disagreement with the pro-life cause, but out of a preference to emphasize a positive pro-life message rather than a negative one.”
He did not detail what negative messages he believed to be emphasized in the Human Life Alliance’s insert.
