The plan moving forward was contingent on the Landmarks Commission approving the demolition of three Victorian era homes that were located on land that would be used for the new community. You can read an article about that here. According to the college, the new community was designed to meet all the needs (spiritual, educational, and residential) of the Jesuit faculty and seminarians. This includes creating small living spaces. There will five two or three story buildings that will hold a total of 75 beds. Other details include 40 on site parking spaces, the preservation of a rock outcropping on the south side of the development, and a 50 foot buffer along the rear of the property. No word on when the three Victorian homes will be demolished to make way for the project.
