Leon Trotsky Writes About The Jesuits

Leon Trotsky
The Jesuit order, organized in the first half of the 16th century for combating Protestantism, never taught, let it be said, that any means, even though it be criminal from the point of view of the Catholic morals, was permissible if only it led to the “end”, that is, to the triumph of Catholicism. Such an internally contradictory and psychologically absurd doctrine was maliciously attributed to the Jesuits by their Protestant and partly Catholic opponents who were not shy in choosing the means for achieving their ends. Jesuit theologians who, like the theologians of other schools, were occupied with the question of personal responsibility, actually taught that the means in itself can be a matter of indifference but that the moral justification or judgment of the given means flows from the end. Thus shooting in itself is a matter of indifference; shooting a mad dog that threatens a child – a virtue; shooting with the aim of violation or murder – a crime. Outside of these commonplaces the theologians of this order made no promulgations.
In so far as their practical moral philosophy is concerned the Jesuits were not at all worse than other monks or Catholic priests, on the contrary, they were superior to them; in any case, more consistent, bolder, and perspicacious. The Jesuits represented a militant organization, strictly centralized, aggressive, and dangerous not only to enemies but also to allies.
In his psychology and method of action the Jesuit of the “heroic” period distinguished himself from an average priest as the warrior of a church from its shopkeeper. We have no reason to idealize either one or the other. But it is altogether unworthy to look upon a fanatic warrior with the eyes of an obtuse and slothful shopkeeper. If we are to remain in the field of purely formal or psychological similitudes, then it can, if you like, be said that the Bolsheviks appear in relation to the democrats and social- democrats of all hues as did the Jesuits – in relation to the peaceful ecclesiastical hierarchy. Compared to revolutionary Marxists, the social-democrats and centrists appear like morons, or a quack beside a physician: they do not think one problem through to the end, believe in the power of conjuration and cravenly avoid every difficulty, hoping for a miracle. Opportunists are peaceful shop. keepers in socialist ideas while Bolsheviks are its inveterate warriors. From this comes the hatred and slander against Bolsheviks from those who have an abundance of their historically conditioned faults but not one of their merits.

Jack Chick Tracts Against The Society Of Jesus

Jack Chick
From Jack Chick's website.
"This war (the American Civil War) would never have been possible without the sinister influence of the Jesuits. We owe it to Popery that we now see our land reddened with the blood of her noblest sons. Though there were great differences of opinion, between the South and the North, on the question of slavery, neither Jeff Davis nor any one of the leading men of the Confederacy would have dared to attack the North had they not relied on the promises of the Jesuits that, under the mask of democracy, the money and the arms of the Roman Catholics, even the arms of France, were at their disposal if they would attack us."

Millions Of Jesuits Working Undercover

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments as follows:
On December 9, the Catholic League filed a formal complaint against attorney Rebekah Nett for the anti-Catholic comments made by her and her client, Naomi Isaacson. Subsequently, Isaacson, who is also a lawyer, has made more Catholic-bashing remarks. We are now filing a complaint with the Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility against her. Below is an excerpt of her bigoted comments as reported in the Pioneer Press.
  • She calls U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Nancy Dreher "Popess Dreher" and "a secret Catholic Knight Witch Hunter."

  • She calls U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Dennis O'Brien a "dastardly Jesuit."

  • She calls the court-appointed bankruptcy trustee a "mindless numbnut [who] would follow church orders with a vengeance."

  • She accuses judges and trustees of conspiring to liquidate the company's assets "for pennies," saying the proceeds will go "to members of the Catholic Church."

  • She refers to a contempt-of-court order by Judge Dreher saying, "We may as well flush her papal bull order down the toilet."

  • She says the court "is an arm of the church to force the minority to be converted or face the consequences just like during the Dark and Middle Ages."
  •  She calls one trustee "Grand Inquisitor."

  • She calls the attorney representing the U.S. Trustee Program a "Papal Drummer."

  • She says Judge O'Brien converted the case to Chapter 7 "on papal orders."

  • She accuses the Church of bringing illegal immigrants to America "so their population can outrun that of the Protestants and they can turn the country into another Spain."

  • She says: "The Catholic Church has millions of Jesuits working undercover around the country to fulfill the church's agenda. They give orders, pull the strings, and their puppets like Nancy Dreher jump like zombies."
Both Rebekah Nett and Naomi Isaacson are unrepentant bigots. They should be disbarred.

The Darling Of Red China Communism Makes Film With Phoney Jesuit As Central Role

Zhang Yimou directs Christian Bale in The Flowers of War
The international trailer for Zhang Yimou’s war drama The Flowers of War (formerly 13 Flowers of Nanjing) has gone online.  Christian Bale stars as a Jesuit priest in a story about a group of people who take refuge inside a cathedral as the invading Japanese Imperial Army takes over Nanking in 1937.  If you want any further clarification on that plot, the trailer may not help you out.  Whereas most trailer we see provide some kind of narrative or over-arching theme, this one is a mish-mash of important scenes that don’t seem to have any particular order.
In one scene Bale is acting heroic and responsible and in another he’s drunk and looking for whores
and it’s tough to see how he got from A to B.  Yimou looks like he’s pulled off some interesting battles that almost look like he’s trying to blend the wuxia style of his Hero with the gritty war-is-hell cinematography of a movie like Saving Private Ryan.

But The Jesuit Father Bapst Was Nowhere To Be Found. It Seems That They Had Tarred And Feathered Him

In June, 1854, Father John Bapst, S.J. changed his residence to Bangor. His success at Ellsworth and the opposition it created was the cause of the change. According to his own account his labors had been rewarded by many conversions.
These were the days of the Know Nothing party and bigoted feeling ran high. The Jesuit was denounced from Protestant pulpits, and in the Ellsworth press, as a perverter of the young. Then further trouble was caused by the school situation. The Catholic children in the Ellsworth schools were forced to read the Protestant Bible and recite Protestant prayers.
Father Bapst opened a Catholic school in the old mission chapel for the children who had been expelled from the Ellsworth schools for refusing to submit to the school committee's ruling, making the reading of the Protestant Bible and the recitation of Protestant prayers obligatory on all the pupils.
The establishment of a Catholic school infuriated the bigots. One night they blew up the old chapel building with gun powder. Then came a controversy with a Protestant minister with Father Bapst the victor.
The Know Nothing answer to the priest's controversial triumph was an attack on his house. On June 3, 1854, the windows of the rectory were smashed and on June 6 a mob broke the windows of the church. All the while the Ellsworth Herald kept up a daily tirade against the Catholic religion in its columns, and on Sundays the Protestant ministers attacked the church from their pulpits. The Bishop of Boston decided that it was better for Father Bapst to change his residence to Bangor. In July word came to Father Bapst at Bangor that the Ellsworth bigots had attempted to burn down the church. The fire was discovered by Amory Otis, one of the fair-minded Protestant citizens, and extinguished before any great damage was done. Father Bapst, at the direction of Bishop Fitzpatrick, did not visit Ellsworth even on Sundays. Another priest took his place.
After the destruction of the school house the Protestants feared Catholic reprisals. The better disposed among them decided to call a public meeting to protest against the outrage. This meeting was called on July 8, 1854. The Know Nothing element prevailed, outnumbering the others four to one.
Then, with all the hatred they were capable of, these bigots passed the following resolutions after the respectable Protestant citizens had withdrawn: "July 8, 1854—Moved by George W. Madox:—That, if John Bapst, S.J., be found again on Ellsworth soil we will provide for him, and try on an entire suit of new clothes, such as cannot be found at the shops of any taylor (sic), and then when thus apparelled he be presented with a free ticket to leave Ellsworth upon the first railroad operation that may go into effect. "Voted that we now adjourn sine die. The reading of the resolutions was greeted with loud applause and they were unanimously adopted,
as the Democrats and Liberal Republicans had left the hall when they realized that the Know Nothings were in control. Father Bapst in his Bangor home heard of the meeting but he did not believe the bigots were bitter enough to carry these inhuman resolutions into effect.
In October he went to Ellsworth. It was on Saturday evening, the fourteenth of the month. He was to say Mass the next day. He stopped at the house of a Catholic citizen named Kent. When night set in a mob came to the house and demanded that Mr. Kent hand over the priest. Mr. Kent urged Father Bapst to hide in the cellar while he spoke to the leaders.
His speech was useless and only provoked the cry: "If you don't produce him we will burn down your house and roast him alive." Father Bapst heard this threat and came out of the cellar. With a chorus of yells they greeted him and dragged him out of the house and up the road. They placed him on a sharp rail and thus carried him along, yelling, hooting and cursing him.
Arriving at a lonely place they took his watch and money. Then they stripped him naked. They bound him to a tree. They piled brush all around him and tried to set it on fire. As their supply of matches gave out he was saved from death by fire. The sheriff hearing of the outrage went out with his posse after the mob. A shower of stones greeted this official's arrival at the scene and the lantern in his hand was smashed. He pulled a pistol on the wild, shouting throng and threatened to fire. This had the desired effect and the mob dispersed.
But Father Bapst was nowhere to be found. It seems that when they had tarred and feathered him and saw there was no way of burning him alive they sent a group of their followers to take him into Ellsworth in his pitiable condition.
This band ordered him to get out of the town that night. They would kill him, they said, if he attempted to say Mass next day.

Jesuit Foot First Touched The Soil Of England In 1549

Edward VI. was then on the throne; and the country, under its young master, counselled by Calvin, was seeking to free itself from the yoke of Rome. Two Jesuits, in disguise, hastened across from Holland, their lessons already taught them, to prevent, if possible, the threatened loss of so great a kingdom to the Papal see. They began to preach the tenets of the Anabaptists, and to proclaim the advent of the Fifth Monarchy or Kingdom of the Saints, a doctrine which had deluged many parts of Germany with blood. The scare of anarchy was thought the likeliest to frighten England from entering the path of the Gospel.

There soon came arrest upon the English Reformation from another quarter. On the demise of Edward, Mary ascended the throne. It was no longer necessary for Jesuit, or other agent of the Papacy, to wear disguise of any sort. The most open and violent measures were those which found most favour with the Queen and her counsellors. But these evil days came at last to an end, although, alas ! not till the flower of the English reformers had died at the stake. But why should we grieve for their deaths? Had their blood not watered it, would the Reformation of England ever have attained the goodly stature which it reached in the Puritan age ?

Jesuit Educated: Michael Rady "They Aren't Typical Catholics"

Micheal Rady is an actor currently starring the updated version of Melrose Place, here is a suspicious section of his full interview.

Question: You attended Catholic prep school
(Saint Joseph's Preparatory School, in Philadelphia) for awhile. Did you nervously reflect upon that when taking one of those guest star roles in Sleeper Cell, where you had an explicit g@y s*x scene?

Answer by Michael Rady: I have to say, I’m Jesuit-educated, and they aren’t typical Catholics. They’re sort of the bad boys of the church. They have a whole different sort of outlook on Catholicism and what it means to be a modern Catholic. It wasn’t even an issue for me.

How The German Protestant Saw The 18th Century Jesuits

The Jesuits preached after their fashion daily, promising freedom from all contributions, and from the infliction of billeting, and special favor and privileges from the Emperor; but to the refractory temporal destruction. They went so far, that the intimidated burgesses were driven to the determination of accepting confirmation ; most of the men of the community took the Lord's Supper according to the Roman Catholic custom, unblessed by the cup. The more steadfast of the citizens, however, were compelled to go away in misery.
Hardly had the Jesuits left the town, when the people fell back again, the citizens rushed to the neighboring villages, where there were still evangelical pastors, and were there married and baptized; their churches standing empty under a Roman Catholic priest.
There were new threatenings, and new deeds of violence. The upright burgomaster Schubert was carried off to severe imprisonment, but the Council now declared boldly that they would die for the Augsburg Confession; the burgesses pressed round the governor of the province in wild tumult. The executioners of the Emperor, " the leatifiers," rode through the gates; great part of the citizens flew with their wives and children out of the town; all the villages were full of exiles, who were brought back with violence by the soldiers and apostate citizens, and put into prison till they could produce certificates of confession ; those who fled further, were driven into Saxony.

Catholic Dissident Group "Voice Of The Faithful" Meets At Protestant Church To Diss Jesuits

The Voice of the Faithful chapter of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport heard a riveting account of priestly sexual abuse during its meeting this week.

E. Brian Walsh, a 58-year-old musician and writer from Bristol, said that it was only two years ago that he came to grips with the trauma, stemming from the rape that was inducing suicidal thoughts, and sought help from Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP).

"The people I've met in SNAP have given me the love and affection that has allowed me to regain my self respect and dignity," he told 35 listeners in the First Congregational Church on the Green.

He related how he had been abused at the age of 14 at a Jesuit institution in the Metropolitan New York area.

"It was a shock I never recovered from, and one that has remained with me ever since," he said.

He had been a freshman at the time.

"I had been the valedictorian of my New Jersey elementary school and had a zest for life," he said. "But after that, my whole world tumbled around me, and I never regained my positive attitude. I drifted from job to job and into and out of alcoholism and drug addiction.

When in his late 30s, Walsh kicked the bad habits and obtained a responsible job, but something continued to nag him and wouldn't let go.

However, Walsh didn't actually connect his earlier downward spiral to the sexual molestation, which he likened to the murder of his soul.

"It took many years for me to realize the connection," he said.

He has recently completed a book on positive thinking and the capacity of individuals to change the world. Titled "Years of Encouragement," it is available at "lulu.com" and on the Amazon book list.

Walsh attributed much of his recent success to Beth McCabe of Clinton, a leader of the SNAP branch based in New Britain.

She revealed that she had been abused by a Long Island priest as an 11-year-old and had been so traumatized that she immediately filed the incident in the deep recesses of her mind.

"It had been too horrible to reflect upon," she said. It would be 20 years before it penetrated her consciousness again and did so while she was working with the Connecticut Division of Children, Youth and Family Services.

Man Masquerades As Jesuit Priest

Jay Leno was taken to a hospital near the studio where he tapes the show and now reveals a weird stalker almost got past staff by pretending to be a man of the cloth. Appearing on fellow TV host Ellen DeGeneres' daytime show on Wednesday (13May09), he explained,
"I'm lying in the bed... and I hear, 'I'm Mr. Leno's priest; I'm here to see him.' Well, I'm not even Catholic."
A quick-thinking nurse realized the mystery man was a fake when she quizzed him about his religion. Leno added,
"He said, 'I'm Jesuit Priest so-and-so,' and the nurse goes, 'Most Jesuits call themselves Father,' and he takes off."
The chat show host still finds the story funny, but TV bosses at NBC weren't laughing - and they boosted security outside Leno's room. He revealed, "It was like the Godfather - I'm in the room at the end of the hall with armed guards. It was ridiculous." Leno was diagnosed with exhaustion.

Maltese Jesuits And Auto Arson

The only time in recent years that we experienced an attack on the property of a religious order was just a few years ago. A number of cars owned by the Jesuit St. Aloysis College were burnt. I don't think that anyone blames the Muslims for that. It is up to the Muslim community to decide whether or not they need to build or open more mosques in Malta. However like Cardinal Tettamanzi I believe that the Catholic community should be concerned if the Muslims or any other religious community cannot get the places of worship they need.

Catholic Left Upset With Blue Ribbon Jesuit

Ave Maria Town in southern Florida is the newly-constructed enclave of pure-land Catholicism founded and funded by former pizza magnate Tom Monaghan, and it has drawn its fair share of criticism since construction began in 2005.
Even many conservatives are uneasy with the throwback Catholicism that Mongahan wants to recreate in a soup-to-nuts, town-and-gown town that features a "traditional" university--but one that tried to fire the Ratzinger protege and blue-ribbon conservative, Jesuit Fr. Joe Fessio. (Student and other protests led to his re-hiring.)

Early reports were that Monaghan and his development partners would ban anything un-Catholic, like porn and cable TV--and non-Catholic residents--though those strictures were apparently overstated.

Now, a well-reported and well-written investigative piece by the local paper, The Naples Daily News, has uncovered a disturbing legal twist to Ave Maria--namely, that its own residents have no say in their own affairs because the five-member board will be controlled in perpetuity by Monaghan and the developer, Barron Collier.

Jack Chick And Alberto Rivera

Aside from Jack Chick’s own name, the name most familiar to readers of Chick comics is that of Alberto Rivera (1935–1997). He is mentioned in numerous tracts and serves as the central character in six issues of Chick’s The Crusaders full-size comic book. Chick even devotes space to him in the handful of books the house publishes.

Alberto Magno Romero Rivera was born in 1937 in the Canary Islands. He claimed to have been a priest who served as an undercover operative of the Jesuit order to infiltrate and destroy Protestant churches and institutions. He maintained that he was so successful that he secretly was made a bishop. Yet he turned his life over to Christ and became a Fundamentalist evangelist. He claimed to have rescued his sister—a nun—after she nearly died in a convent in London.

In the 1970s he met Jack Chick, who publicized his story with much fanfare. It added immense amounts of detail (and implausibility) to Chick’s global Catholic conspiracy theory. The Alberto series included some of the wildest claims found in Chick’s publications—that the Vatican started Islam, Communism, the Masons, and the Klan; that it controls the Illuminati, the Mafia, and the New Age movement; that it created the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormonism, and is databasing the name of every Protestant church member for a future inquisition.

The Alberto series started a controversy that resulted in Chick being unable to sell the comic books in many Protestant bookstores. Following a complaint from the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, the Christian Booksellers Association began considering whether to expel Chick. Soon afterward, Chick withdrew from the CBA.

The protest against the Chick Alberto series was waged by both Catholics and Evangelicals. Many Catholics, naturally, protested the lurid and inaccurate depiction of their faith, and many Protestant bookstore owners who saw their point removed the series from their stores.

In response, Chick published My Name? . . . In the Vatican? in which he repeated many of Rivera’s sensationalistic claims and gave grudging acknowledgment to the ability of Catholics to get his works taken out of Evangelical bookstores.

Anti-Catholic Bob Bush Claims To Be Former Jesuit

One of the former priests featured in Catholicism: Crisis of Faith is Bob Bush. McCarthy's newsletter introduced Bush to its readers this way: "Late on the night of March 17, St. Patrick's Day, 1981, a small press produced our first publication, a booklet entitled Good News for Catholics. The next day 800 of the 3,000 Catholics departing from a ceremony at a local civic auditorium received a free copy."

"Jesuit priest Bob Bush was in that crowd. He was searching for God, but he didn't receive a booklet. There simply were not enough. Five years later, Bob, having learned the gospel through his own Scripture studies, left the priesthood and the Roman Catholic Church. When he learned of the opportunity that had almost been his in 1981, he remarked, 'That booklet could have saved me a couple of years!'"

Bush's is the first voice heard in the video after the narrator's. The scene is the church at the Jesuit-run University of San Francisco. Bush looks into the camera and says, "This is St. Ignatius Church. It is adjacent to the University of San Francisco. I studied here during my years of seminary training. My name is Bob Bush. I was ordained here in 1966. Twenty-one years later I submitted my letter of resignation."
This wording is so imprecise that viewers might conclude that Bush's entire theological training took place at USF.
According to the registrar's office, he indeed studied at USF, but only during the summers of 1964, 1965, and 1966, and each summer he took only two courses, Spanish and theology.
To the extent he learned Catholic theology, he learned most of it elsewhere.[Bob Bush's brother, Bernard Bush, remains a Jesuit in good standing. He runs a residential facility for priests who have emotional problems.]

Bob Bush appears eight times in the video, each instance only a sound bite. After another former priest and a former nun speak against the Immaculate Conception and its chief consequence, Mary's sinlessness, Bush sums up for the viewer: " 'All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God' [Rom. 3:23]. All have fallen. Yet the Catholic Church defined that Mary was conceived without sin."

Bush demonstrates Fundamentalists' strength and weakness: simplicity and oversimplification. The "proof" is simple, a single verse. It is quoted as though it can be interpreted only univocally. The viewer is led to a single conclusion: If everyone has sinned, Mary must have sinned; if the Catholic Church teaches she was sinless, it must be teaching erroneously. This is the simplicity of the argument, and it is an argument that appeals immediately to minds uncluttered with questions.

The simplicity that appeals to some people looks like oversimplification to others. They think to themselves along these lines:

What does it mean to say "All have sinned"? It must mean, and certainly Fundamentalists mean by it, that all people have committed actual sins, sins which are their own acts--as distinguished from original sin, the stain of which is inherited by us from our first parents, who sinned at the origin of the race. (The absence of actual sins is what Catholics mean when they say one consequence of the Immaculate Conception was Mary's sinlessness.)

Is the sentence "All have sinned" to be taken broadly or with implied exceptions? Apparently the latter, since everyone knows that neither children below the age or reason nor people born severely retarded are capable of sin. Thus Paul could not have been referring to either young children or the severely retarded in Romans 3:23 because they have not sinned. To whom was he referring? No doubt to the adults recipients of his letter. If his words allow for these obvious exceptions, could it not be that he allowed for another, unmentioned exception --Mary?

That is the kind of thinking someone not given to oversimplification would engage in. It is not the kind of thinking anti-Catholics appearing in this video engage in. The sound bites in which their thoughts are presented are arguments which they themselves find convincing, and those sound bites contain no nuances.

Disgrunteled Catholic, Ex-Priest And Ex-Jesuit Writes About His Jesuit Bashing Fantasies

William Cleary of Burlington, author and musician, has written his first fictional work, "The Jesuit's Escape" (InfinityPublishing, $14.95). Cleary calls the work reality fiction, based in part on his time in Korea, where he was an ordained priest working in missions. The JFK assassination figures in the plot, as does the priest falling in love with a nun. In real life, Cleary is married to a onetime nun, Roddy O'Neil Cleary.

New Movie To Misrepresent Jesuits And Catholicism

THE SPIDER, which is set to film in Istanbul and Manhattan, has already managed to attract a load of talent.
The iconic Malcolm McDowell has signed on to play “a Jesuit priest with a secret agenda,” says Sigl,
while three-time Academy Award winner Howard Shore will take on composing duties. Furthermore, casting director John Hubbard and Oscar-nominated special FX supervisor Ian Wingrove have also agreed to take part in the film.
It seems Wingrove will have his work cut out for him as the story plans to surreally move from the present into visions of the past.
“As our story takes us through modern Istanbul and at some point seamlessly back into the ancient times of Emperor Constantine the Great, who reigned from 324 until 337, the production design and the visual effects must contribute to the overall strangeness our hero feels when he enters an unusual world,”
Sigl says. “In order to give the movie an almost mythical and mystical soul, the effects should be as subtle as possible to create the perfect illusion of everyday reality blending effortlessly into nightmarish visions of a former life lived some 1700 years ago.” Such sights will apparently include an Istanbul alley suddenly mutating into the site of a Byzantine funeral procession, and “a shapeshifting weaver woman literally melting into her own tapestry before she gets hacked out again by the swords of Roman soldiers,” Sigl says.

Hollywood On The Society Of Jesus

Variety is reporting that Mark Ruffalo is set to direct a film about a faith healer called Sympathy for Delicious. Unlike the other two religious-based films, Delicious takes aim at the contemporary Church. The movie tells the story of a paralyzed man who discovers a mysterious ability to heal the sick, a Jesuit priest who tries to help him maintain a balanced perspective of his gift and a rock star who begins to exploit him.
