Akridge Seals the Deal on Two More Office Condo Sales
Only One Unit Remains at 1016 16th St., NW.
.
WASHINGTON - Akridge closed on two additional sales of its eight-story building of office condominiums at 1016 16th St. The building's newest residents are the Thomas B. Fordham Foundation and BTC, LLC. The transactions were brokered by Paul Ehrenreich and Peter Gottesman of CresaPartners and Ron Burkhardt of Newmark Knight Frank, respectively.
Only one condo--measuring 4,400 square feet on the sixth floor--remains for sale in this beautifully-restored, 1920s office building.
"1016 16th St. offers an opportunity to purchase office space in the heart of downtown," says Matt Klein, President of Akridge. "The prime location and chance to build equity is appealing to many area businesses." The Thomas B. Fordham Foundation purchased the seventh and eight floors of 1016 16th St. The closing on this 8,768 square-foot space was on October 29. BTC, LLC closed on the lower level of the building on November 2. This 3,719 square-foot space will be occupied by Eye Doctors of Washington, PC.

They join 1016 16th St.'s three current owners: the Jesuit Conference, the
Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), and The 1871
Heritage Headquarters, LLC

(The Bar Association of DC and the BADC Foundation). 1016 16th St. lies between K and L Streets in downtown D.C., just three blocks north of The White House. The Akridge Office Fund purchased the 38,166 square foot building in April of 2006 and repositioned it as 10 units to sell office condominiums. Link to original article (here)
