A writer and expert on literature, Jesuit Antonio Spadaro, 45, has been appointed the new director of La Civiltà Cattolica, the magazine of the Rome Jesuits, said an article on chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it. Fr Spadaro takes the place of Fr GianPaolo Salvini, 75, who had directed La Civiltà Cattolica since 1985. Fr Spadaro was chosen over Father Michele Simone, who was the deputy director and political commentator for the magazine - nevertheless considered by the Vatican authorities as closer, perhaps too close, to the center-left coalition of the Italian political system.

Your link features another Father Michele Simone. Jesuit Father Michele Simone from the Civiltà Cattolica in Rome was born in 1943. Innocent mistake.
