"Barry Fitzgerald was a Dublin-born actor who was so successful at playing an Irish priest that he left an impression of all Irish priests as wise, holy and just a little bit daft. Fitzgerald was, in fact, a Protestant and his birthplace was beside a tiny synagogue (now the Irish Jewish Museum).
