This whole debate seems to emphasize the wrong things.
I find it more useful to ask myself: - How can I support my values, the values of society, the values of Notre Dame, and the values of the President?
There are many positive options. How do we balance "correct" values against others' sincere values? I would suggest that forcing our "correct" values is not the answer.
