The car, owned by the Spanish cookie owner, Sr. Fontaneda suffered no damage on the return trip from Garabandal to Reynosa. Fontaneda and his driver found Fr. Andreu mysteriously dead. Eminent Dominican theologian, Royo Marin, traveling with the party in another car administered the last rights to the young Jesuit priest. The story seems well documented.
